Most spray tans lasts 5-10 days on average with proper prep and aftercare.

It is best to get the spray tan 2-3 days before a special event.
-
Traditional manicures and pedicures should be done a day or more in advance.
-
Gel/ acrylic nails can be done at any time as long as the tan is not still developing on your skin.
-
Skin treatments such as facials, peels, microdermabrasion,, etc. should all be done a week or more in advance. Dermaplaning should be done 3+ days beforehand.

You cannot get a spray tan if you've had a sunburn that peeled within 4 weeks or is at the point of peeling.

Dress for the weather: jackets, umbrellas, boot and long socks to pull over the cuffs of pants during the cooler seasons.

Hormone changes and some oral medications (including acne) can sometimes contribute to lighter results or a faster fade.
-
Spray sunscreens will strip the tan so please stick to a lotion or cream SPF

Avoid using the following products, as they can lighten or make your tan uneven:

Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA)

Beta hydroxy acids (BHA)

Anti-acne products that exfoliate and dry out the skin

Anti-aging products that "renew" the skin

Exfoliants

Adhesives like K-tape (physio tape) and band-Aids

Body hair bleach products

Hair inhibiting lotions

Bug spray, perfumes, body sprays when applied directly to the skin (instead spray your clothing)
